Isn’t it a mess? I’m such a chaotic person as you can see in this pic. I try to keep everything organised in my Borderlands2 loot chest and little organza bags. In the pic you see me modifing a new controller. The transparant package with little things in it are LED’s, I solder them inside a controller with a soldering iron that I’m holding in the photo. I’ve got them in a lot of different colours and I love to play and try out weird and funny combinations as you can see in the photos below. I’m really enjoying modding/customising controllers so far! This week I’ll be getting a lot more stuff to work with and better gear (a helping hand with magnifying glass to make soldering easier) - and I’ve got some awesome news to announce, but that’s a secret for now!

Most important thing to be kept in mind when working with soldering iron is not to touch the tip of the iron as it is extremely hot. Soldering material used for the purpose is an alloy of tin and lead and is called flux. Before you put solder over the required area, heat up the surface to be soldered by touching the tip of the hot iron. Application of the solder is called “tinning”since percentage of tin is more in the flux. However, flux can be of various types depending upon the things to be soldered. -
